Improving the line of sight will definitely improve performance. Engenius offers you a 6dB gain antenna with 60 feet or 30 feet of coaxial cable. Security

Engenius Industrial Cordless Phone Systems utilizes three advanced technologies to provide a extremely high level privacy and Security. One, Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS): FCC allows companies and individuals to use radio frequencies between 902 to 928 MHz and 2.4 to 2.483 Ghz for radio communication. DSS modulation enables the transmitted signal to spread over a wide frequency band, sometime wider than the minimum bandwidth needed. DSS actually chops the information into pieces and spread them out in the allocated frequency band. This way your signal interference will be reduced . The advantage of the Digital Spread Spectrum over single or fixed frequency is security, Clarity and Range. The Engenius system converts voice sounds into private, encrypted digital information before transiting and upon receiving the digital information, it reconverts the information to clear, analog voice data.

2-Way Radio

Engenius offers the convenience of direct, handset to handset, 2-Way Radio communication, completely independent of the base unit. This unique feature makes it possible for multiple handsets to remain in contact with each other even in remote areas away from the base unit. And with Engenius 2-Way feature, there is no group chatter or having to push to talk; just use the feature like you use the phone.

Expandability

The Engenius products are designed to meet the needs of the SOHO market and provide the convenience and the flexibility required. Thus Engenius systems are expendable and flexible to meet various and changing demands of small businesses or workgroups, without having to change out the system. From the basic system of a single base a single handset , to an expanded multiple users (multiple handsets) system or even a multiple lines (multiple base units) and multiple users (multiple handsets) system: The solution is Engenius! Thus, you can manage the investment on only the system that you need. With multiple lines (base units), you can make and receive calls from any of the lines and even transfer a call to another Engenius handset after you receive the call.

Caller-ID

Engenius phone system is equipped with the type II Caller-ID, Caller-ID with call waiting. This feature will allow you to see who is calling before you answer the call. Type II Caller-ID will enable you to identify whom is calling right from the handset's LCD screen. Engenius phone system will allow you to store up to 30 set of numbers and allow to easily return these calls. (Caller-ID and call waiting features require telephone service subscription).

Power Management

To conserve the consumption of the battery capability, the Engenius system will transmit at only the power needed for a clear signal transmission. Thus, allowing the system to transmit from a minimum power of 100 mWatt to the maximum power 900mWatt (SN-900 max. power 630 mWatts)

Call Manager

Engenius System lets you decide which handsets should receive incoming, transferred and 2-Way radio calls and which handsets should receive just transferred and 2-way calls.

Compatibility

SN-900Ultra and SN-920Ultra are both forward and backward compatible to each other.
